Brenda and Gary would like to welcome you to The Crab and Ale House this is a traditional pub and is a firm favourite with locals and holiday makers alike, the pub has a great old world charm and claims to be the oldest pub in Truro established in 1802.
It is a classic community local with a pub menu at lunchtime which offers seafood dishes and sandwiches.
The Crab and Ale House offers a varied menu including local seafood, sandwiches if you are looking for a light snack and pub menu favorites.
We are open every lunchtime for food and Sunday to Wednesday for evening food.
You will be spoiled for choice we always have 5 Real Ales including 4 permanent ones and a changing guest. Our permanent ales are Green King IPA and Speckled Hen, Sharps Doom Bar and St Austell Tribute.
The Crab and Ale House is part of Cask Marque which helps to guarantee a great pint of cask ale.

The Crab and Ale House is famous in Truro for it's Friday Night Disco which is on on the last Friday of the month, be prepared to queue.
Every Thursday is Quiz night, be there early to get a table.
The Crab and Ale House has a great location being situated in the city centre within walking distances to the beautiful Cathedral it is also well placed for a rest after a busy morning shopping for a drink or a bite to eat at lunchtime.
Also we are close by to Lemon Quay which is the indoor market, where they also they have occasional farmers markets.
Other places to visit in Truro are the Royal Cornwall Museum and Hall for Cornwall which is now the premier entertainment centre in the county.
